A ride between Charles de Gaulle Airport and a Seine riverside vertiport is estimated to cost around €110 (approximately $119). The flights are expected to double the price of current ground taxis, with thousands of tickets to be sold at reasonable prices, according to Augustin de Romanet, CEO of Aéroports de Paris. Though primarily aimed at emergency medical evacuations to bypass traffic jams, there’s assurance that these services won’t be exclusive to VIPs. De Romanet highlighted the transformative impact urban air mobility could have post-Olympics, with these “little helicopters” set to be globally widespread by 2028 or 2030. Various routes have been earmarked for testing during the Olympic event.
